Goal for this course

To enable you to use the SolidWorks module for beam and pipe construction, streamline welded constructions.

Topics that will be covered

• 3D sketching
• Weldment and Sheet metal in assemblies
• Review of the tools in the weldment module
• Use beam / pipe profiles
• Create your own beam / pipe profiles
• Create cut lists
• Add properties to parts in the cut list
• Make 2D drawings from weldment models
• Structural systems

Experience required

You should have completed SolidWorks basic training and assembly training. You should have worked in the program with part modeling and with assemblies, be acquainted with the interface and understand what sketches and relationships mean.
